LAGASA’s Pilot Programme (Project Series 1) was recently rolled out for the 2026 Candidate Legal Practitioner (CLPs) recruits of a top tier South African law firm.
LAGASA’s founder and director, Adv Lauren Kohn, drafted the bespoke LAGASA Handbooks for this Pilot Project. These Handbooks were generously sponsored by the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, and prepared with careful attention to the firm’s core practice areas.

These Handbooks blend not only various fields of law; but also, the likes of, commercial know-how, economics, short-hand techniques; and combine basic, critical, theoretical, practical and inter-personal ‘learning experiences’.
LAGASA’s (CLP) Pilot Project 1 was facilitated in-person by Kohn in Cape Town (over the week of 1 July 2025) and then in Johannesburg (over the week of 14 July 2025).
The delivery of the first ‘LAGASA learning experience’ was overwhelmingly positively received by every CLP and they, as well as their stakeholder firm, have expressed much anticipation for the implementation of Project 2, given LAGASA’s Programmes distinctive modular and scaffolded design.
Project 2 is to be rolled out towards the end of 2025.
